About John:

Financial Architect for Founder-Led Companies

I’m John, founder of Cents & Systems.

I install financial control inside founder-led companies, navigating growth and operational complexity.

Before launching Cents & Systems, I spent over a decade managing financial operations and integrating finance, operations, and people into unified systems. As Director of Operations and later COO, I learned a critical truth:

Growth without structure compounds stress.
And complexity without visibility compounds risk.

Most founders don’t stall because they lack ambition.
They stall because their financial systems lag behind their ambition.

Revenue increases. Complexity expands.
Decision speed slows.
The founder becomes the bottleneck.

That’s where I work.

I don’t provide bookkeeping.
I don’t offer surface-level advisory.
I design and install financial architecture.

That means:

• Profit visibility by offer and channel
• Capital allocation clarity
• Forecasting systems that support real strategic decisions
• Financial operating cadence that scales
• Reduced founder dependency

Cents & Systems partners with a maximum of four founder-led companies at a time to ensure precision, depth, and measurable financial impact.

Because when structure creates space, profit and peace follow.

Outside of work, I refine systems, train in discipline-based practice, and teach my children how to think about money with clarity and agency.

Systems should serve the human.
Numbers should tell the truth.
Structure should create freedom.
